Content CAD-Concepts for the design and simulation of integrated system-on-chips |
---------------------------------------------------------------- Teaser (Video) CAD4SoC Module Teaser (mp4 Video) ---------------------------------------------------------------- Learning objectives / Learning Outcomes A student is, after successful completion of this module, able to understand · The most important design and verification abstractions as well as the design flow for the design of integrated electronic systems, · Selected algorithms for optimization, simulation and solving of design tasks, · Advanced methods for the design and simulation of analog integrated circuits in modern CMOS technologies, · Advanced concepts of hardware description languages and their concepts (Verilog, VHDL, Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, System-Verilog) |
Recommended prerequisite for participation In general, any introductory lecture on electronic circuit design, can serve as a prerequisite for this lecture. Participants of CAD4SoC must have · knowledge of Logic circuits (Inverter, NAND, NOR), and how to deal with boolean logic · fundamental, coarse knowledge on how a transistor works (no details required, but knowledge on how simple transistor circuits work (e.g. single-stage amplifier, or connected, ideal opamp)) are beneficial |
