Core topics and goals
Welcome to the online space for students enrolled in the international degree program GreenChips that brings
together six European universities, companies and research
institutions with the aim of training new
specialists in the
field of microelectronics.
We will focus on the development and production of sustainable and energy-efficient microchips.
Power-saving microchips are indispensable to achieve the climate targets in Europe and contribute to decarbonization.
The electronics sector lacks qualified personnel. The GreenChips-EDU project aims to counteract this shortage of skilled workers.
Skills and knowledge to be acquired
From the fundamentals of microelectronics to the intricacies of eco-design, microsystems design, and power electronics, our curriculum is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in this rapidly evolving field.
Skills in integrated circuit and microelectronic system design.
Expertise in sustainable chip manufacturing (raw materials processing, elimination of industrial waste, minimizing energy consumption, etc.).
Printed circuit board design skills (environmentally friendly thanks to modern design tools)
Knowledge in energy efficiency aspects (power electronics, power supply, etc.).
Knowledge in the ethical principles of responsible technology manufacturing.
